There are plenty of people trying to lose weight without exercising. Their reasons for doing so will vary. Some people get bad joint pain when exercising. Others are extremely busy with work and other stressful daily tasks which drains the amount of time you have free to workout. Too many carbohydrates can be a major factor in weight gain – If you really want to lose weight without exercise get your diet in check!
If you are taking in a lot of carbs every day, you may be putting your health at risk. Too much of anything can be bad for you and this rings true here.If your body has excess energy and no room to store the new intake, it will store the carbohydrates as fat.
To combat this you can experiment by halving the carbs you take in on a daily basis. There will be no need to cut them out all together. Carbohydrates should be part of a healthy balanced diet. However, you should consider cutting out unhealthy carbs and replacing them with complex carbohydrates such as fruits, and vegetables.
Smaller portions of food is the way forward
A lot of people have successfully lost weight by eating smaller portions. This can be done by eating more smaller meals a day. For example, if you are currently eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, try breaking each of these meals into six. So you would have a breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and a healthy desert of fruits etc. A good example of this is shown below:
Breakfast: Healthy cereal. (Could be oats or something similar.)
Brunch: Fruit salad.
Lunch: Whole meal bread sandwich with chicken slice filling.
Afternoon snack: A couple of fruits of your choice.
Dinner: Lean meat, for protein with a selection of vegetables such as peas and carrots.
Dessert: An hour or so later you could have strawberries and low fat cream.
Eat foods that fill you up quickly
Naturally, when we are full we don’t feel the urge to eat. Luckily there are certain foods which allow us to feel full quicker. Vegetables and Protein are a good example of these foods. Chicken, and lean meats are a great source of protein which will keep you full till your next meal.
Make sure you never skip breakfast
Breakfast is arguably the most important meal of the day. Some people think if you skip breakfast you will lose a few pounds in the process. While this is partly true, it is not an effective way to maintain weight loss.
You will need to eat breakfast to give you the energy to get through the day and perform tasks that aid your weight loss more effectively. It will also help kick start your metabolism early in the morning.
